Course Overview Thali* Demo / Tasting/ Cooking / Dine (or take home what you cook) Cooking Skills – None required. Suitable for – V/GF Not suitable for – Below 13** years age and people allergic to nuts*** Esther will demonstrate dishes you can taste and eat as thali. You taste some delicious dishes and will cook one or more dishes from the following list; - Onion Bhaji - Chicken Tikka Masala - Aloo Ghobi (Potato with Cauliflower) - Tomato Dip - Tamarind Dip - Rotti (Chapathi - Indian Flat Bread) - Rice - Simple Salad (Indian) Embark on a culinary journey with our Indian Thali cooking class at Esther’s Manna House. You will learn to create a traditional Thali, a plate containing a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes served alongside rice, Indian flatbread & side dishes. You will cook one or two dishes from the thali which you can eat in or take home with you (don't forget to bring containers with you). You will be given many tips as with all our classes to recreate any dishes to suit your palate making this an unforgettable experience. * Thali (also known as “Bhojanam”) is a plate with an edge (traditionally metal plate), in which many different dishes both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes are served & eaten from. A typical Thali comprises of main dishes of vegetarian or meat curry, pickles, chutneys with rice, rotti/chapathi (Indian flat bread) and salad. **13-17 year olds must be accompanied by a participating paying adult. ***Nut Allergy FSA describes Nut Allergy as nuts belonging to tree nuts (such as almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, Brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, pistachios and macadamia nuts).
